The "Daddi"

Sitcom

The first episode of The Daddi from MOROL SRL on Vimeo.

Over the last few years, Italy has been struck by a social and economic crisis that has forced Italians to reinvent themselves. They try to find an escape by facing the enormous difficulties of the time in a positive and constructive way. Not everyone is successful, but the Daddi seem to have found the perfect solution…

The idea behind the Daddi comes from the crisis which has struck the lives of the characters. The dramatic situation in which the characters (a businessman, a comedian and a business manager)find themselves leads them to rediscover the world’s oldest profession. There is a series of gags, up-to-date considerations, awkward moments and misunderstandings…all of this told in a way which is informative, clean and never vulgar.

The episodes lead the audience to reflect on the current crisis and encourage the spectators to roll up their sleeves and find new solutions in order to help the country out of the crisis.
The location is nearly always the same, it is solid and easily recognizable.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
The objective is that of portraying current day-to-day life through different scenes and characters. Through the main characters, we want to depict life in a country in crisis which, with a sense of irony, is trying to overcome its difficulties. During the series, the audience is encouraged to develop a sense of reflection, ingenuity and confrontation.

PROSTITUTES:
Sex is only ever evoked and never seen or actually experienced. Every now and again, one of the three fathers gets up, gets in a stopped car and then comes back to join the others a few minutes later. Everything is conveyed in a very clean way based on gags and jokes, but it is always possible to change this.
